Passing On Things No Longer Needed to People Who Need Them

We have been promoting the reuse of things since long before words like [reuse], [sustainable], and [upcycle] were in common use.

About the Kimono Atelier

About the Kimono Atelier

We closed the shop we had run for 28 years when the area was redeveloped,
moved, and now run it anew as an atelier.

About Our Pieces

About Our Pieces

We make aloha shirts from kimono that can no longer be worn.
Because the materials are old, they may have stains or flaws.
We hope they will be bought by people who appreciate good old things.

Shipping

Shipping

The shipping method is left to our discretion.
We use the least expensive method, so items may be lightly packed.
We cannot take responsibility for items after they have been shipped.

About Returns

About Returns

As noted in the item descriptions, our pieces are made from old kimono, so they may have [stains], [dirt], [holes], [scuffs], [fold marks], [discoloration], and so on.
We cut the fabric to avoid these as much as possible, but please understand in advance that they cannot always be avoided completely.
We do not accept returns for the reasons above.
